Musings on my son

This morning I was thinking about my youngest and some of the things he’s done.  It makes me wonder what the teen years will be like.  One example comes from earlier this summer.  He had decided to start saving up to buy a skateboard, but money is hard to come by at the tender age of seven.  What to do?  Start charging your sisters rent when they want to use your toys.  He made 7 cents before they rebelled.  When he was three, we were on vacation and I told him I wanted to hold his hand so I wouldn’t get lost.  By the end of the night he was so tired of it that he grabbed his sister’s hand and transferred mine to hers.  Then I think about all of the capers his father pulled as a child, and I know we could be in real trouble down the road.

What things did his dad do?  Well, I think it’s safer not to put those in cyberspace until they move out.  We don’t need to encourage the mischief.
